To my friends, family and those who feel compelled to read this...

This is probably the most humbling thing I have had to do not only for myself but for my daughter.

A daughter I have exclusively raised for nearly 8 years before I was served by her dad for FULL legal custody and primary physical custody in March of 2022. Just a simple stack of papers left at my door…while I was working a 12-hour shift.

For over a year, I have endured a very lengthy and exhausting custody battle. I’ve endured multiple 8-hour court days…Where I have been able to excel in proving myself the mother most of you know me to be. I’ve suffered intimidation tactics, threats, financial abuse and emotional abuse.

If you know me, you know I am the most devoted mother to my now 9-year-old daughter, Emily. I have given her the best life I possibly can, and now that I don’t have her as much…We make the most out of the days we do spend together.

Since the beginning of this case, I have watched myself change. The fun/carefree/adventurous spirit I have always been has now been diminished. Now all my spare time away from my child and work is dedicated to educating myself on Family law and how to protect mine.

Throughout this case I have overcome MANY obstacles…if we’re close you know exactly what I am speaking of, and have never asked for help along the way…especially publicly.

Being challenged with full custody by Emily’s father, I have spent nearly every penny I have, selling all the possessions I've worked so hard to get just to keep up with attorneys fees and court costs.

I am a very strong person and this is not like me to ask for help from anyone. After talking to several friends. I have chosen to put my pride aside and faith in God, and accept the help I’d normally would never ask for.

The purpose of this request is simple. I am a single mom fighting with everything I have to keep the custody I have always had of my daughter, Emily. This is an incredibly expensive process. To date, I have spent thousands in attorney’s fees and fees are continuously accruing.
