I’ve been asked to create this GoFundMe to help my niece, Ashlee and her 4 year old son, Jai.

On Saturday March 22, Johnny was viciously attacked and left for dead. His, wallet and phone were taken by his attackers and he was brought into IMC hospital as a John Doe. It took a little over 24 hrs for authorities to identify him and notify his wife, Ashlee… who was then asked to do the unthinkable. She was asked to come and identify her husband at the hospital who was on life support . Something no spouse should ever have to do. We’re still trying to piece together the details and are working with authorities to figure out what exactly happened, why it happened and who is responsible.

Unfortunately, we’ve been given the devastating news that our Johnny won’t be coming home. Ashlee is now trying to prepare a funeral and how to delicately deliver the news to their 4 year old son, Jai… that his daddy wont be coming home.

Those who know Johnny know him for his million dollar smile, his happy go lucky spirit, his big welcoming hugs, the love he had for his son and family and his obsession with fishing. Johnny was his happiest self when he had a fishing rod in one hand & his boy on his lap sitting by the lake reeling them in one after another.

Johnny was taken far too soon and will be missed everyday by so many people.

We’re hoping to take some of the burden off of Ashlee by gathering enough funds to give Johnny the funeral and celebration of life that he deserves. If you’re able to donate anything, Ashlee will be forever grateful for your help.
