HELP JESSICA REUNITE WITH HER DAUGHTER AND FIND JUSTICE

Dear Friends & Supporters,

I am reaching out to you today to share the heartbreaking story of my dear friend, Jessica Yadon. Jessica's life was turned upside down when her sister, Jodi, adopted her daughter, A.R.L. At first, Jodi allowed Jessica and A.R.L. to maintain a loving and nurturing relationship, acting as a parent figure to the child. However, everything changed when Jodi suddenly cut off all contact between Jessica and A.R.L.

Determined to fight for her right to be in her daughter's life, Jessica filed an affidavit and petition with the court in May of 2023, requesting visitation rights. Unfortunately, despite attending 5 hearings, the court has shown little interest in understanding the deep bond between Jessica and A.R.L. It seems as though they are disregarding what is truly in the best interest of the child.

To make matters worse, Jodi has financial resources that allow her to hire a skilled lawyer, while Jessica struggles to afford legal representation. The judges and the commissioner overseeing the case have been dismissive of Jessica's pleas and have not given proper consideration to the evidence of the parent-like relationship between Jessica and A.R.L.

One major obstacle Jessica faces is the requirement to pay a substantial $2000 fee for a Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) before the court will even discuss visitation. As Jessica is representing herself due to financial constraints, she can only make small payments toward the GAL fee. It will take her an entire year to gather the necessary funds, delaying any chance of being heard and reuniting with her beloved daughter.

It has been over a year since Jessica last saw her daughter, and A.R.L. desperately wants to be with her mother. Jessica needs our support to secure the services of a competent attorney who can fight for her rights and navigate the legal system effectively. Additionally, we aim to help Jessica cover the GAL deposit that the court will finally begin to listen to her pleas.
