We are going through something incredibly difficult right now, and I’m asking for help with as much hope and love as I can hold onto.

Jake is currently facing serious charges after trying to protect himself, me, and his girlfriend. The juvenile system moves FAST. But his public defender does not. However, we’ve found a lawyer who truly believes in Jake-that he should not face charges or go to trial at all- but we need $5,000 upfront ($10,000 total) to retain him.

Because the juvenile system moves so quickly, to get Jake back home with us and move on to next steps, we only have a very small window-around 72 hours-to come up with these funds.

Jake is an amazing young man with so much life ahead of him. He’s already been through more than most, including getting attacked at school, leaving him with both a broken jaw and PTSD. He is kind, loving, and currently, SCARED. He does not belong where he is right now.

So please, the kid who once made his mom stop everything she was doing to help a duck in need...helping catch it at the park and driving an hour to get it care. He plays videos games with his little brother and plays at the park with his little sister. He's helped take care of newborn kittens....THAT kid desperately needs your help.
