Background:
Our good friend, brother, father and God-fearing colleague is in dire need of funds to cover legal fees and attorney expense for his post-conviction appeal. In 2014, Emem was wrongly convicted of Criminal Sexual Conduct of 2 minors and has been serving prison time since the conviction. He plead his innocence at the time of his trial, and has continued to fight his case and proclaim his innocence.

This father of twin loving boys has fought his criminal conviction up to federal courts and has also pursued civil  lawsuits against the State of Minnesota.

This innocent brother is now fighting to regain his freedom, clear his name and rejoin his family since the 2 minors who testified to being abused by Emem have now recanted before the court,  and now claim to have been coerced and intimidated by the government during the trial to have their stories match so Emem can be convicted and jailed.

While Emem has been representing himself at the State and Federal Appeal Courts level, he is no match for the resources that the government is putting to keep him imprisoned. He is crying out for massive support in light of the recantation by the same minors who accused him.

Emem needs your support now, he needs to be a father to his young twins that he is yet to see since 2014. His incarceration has devastated his friends and extended family, and brought untold hardship to his wife and kids. 

His hearing has been adjourned till October 11, 2018, but he now needs the best legal defense he can get to finish the good fight.  All that knew Emem will testify to his good will for others. Your support will mean a lot to all that are pained by the injustices in the judicial system and how close to home this has affected all of us.
