Justice for Christopher Alder
JUSTICE FOR CHRISTOPHER ALDER
Christopher Alder was Born in Hull on the 25th of June 1960. At the age of 16 he joined the British Army in the Parachute Regiment, and served his country for 6 years on a tour of Northern Ireland. He was a hero.
Christopher was a father and a brother who was unlawfully killed whilst in police custody on April 1st 1998.
He suffered a head trauma earlier in the night during a scuffle which resulted in him being unconscious for 11minutes. He was brought to Hull Royal infirmary via ambulance. Due to the symptoms cause by his head injury, historic fear of hospitals and not-excessive consumption of alcohol, he became uncooperative with the medical professionals, nevertheless the HCC have found the care he received was inadequate. More should have been done to keep him in their care.
PC Dawson and Blakey were assigned remove Christopher Alder when he did not cooperate with the treatment. There was an inadequate handover from hospital staff to the police. Christopher was then dragged from the hospital to the police car, he was then dragged into the police station. Where he was left on the floor like a piece of dirt and neglected for 12 minutes. The police officers made racist remarks including monkey noises, they showed no regard for human life in the slightest.
Christophers head injury was deemed not serious by professionals, yet he turned up to the police station with another missing tooth, new cuts and choked on his own blood. All evidence was destroyed before an investigation.
This IS police brutality.
To add insult to injury.
In 2004, four of the five Officers responsible for Christopher’s death were granted an Early Retirement on “stress-related medical grounds” and given a lump sum compensation of between £44,000/£66,000. They still have never been brought to justice for this complete disregard of human life.
As far as I can find, nothing was ever given to the family of Christopher, his sister Janet Alder has constantly campaigned to bring this case back to light and get Justice for her brother. To add further insult to injury, In 2011, it was discovered that the body the police had given to hisfamily to bury at Christopher's funeral eleven years earlier had in fact been that of Grace Kamara - a 77 year old Nigerian woman. The police had kept Christopher's body, it was finally revealed, in 6 body bags in a Hull mortuary all that time - for 'training purposes'.
We need to show that we won’t stand for Racism by the people who were sworn to protect us, or in Britain full stop. The fact Justice still hasn’t been brought shows our government doesn’t really give a shit. So let’s show that we, the people, DO care.
The U.K. is NOT innocent.
Hull is NOT innocent.

Some Other Points about Christopher’s treatment on the night of his death taken from Janets FundRazr:
• By the time Christopher arrived in the police station, he was unconscious again, had lost his belt as well as another tooth, and had received new cuts to the lip and above the eye. But neither the cause of these injuries, nor their role in causing his death, have ever been investigated
• Christopher had been left face down in the custody suite gasping for breath in the last minutes of his life, with police officers later standing around making monkey noises over his corpse - but the jury looking at the case were denied access to the CCTV audiotape which clearly revealed this.
• Following Christopher's death, Humberside police raided his flat and dredged up Christopher and his siblings' social services records in an apparent attempt to find something with which to smear us - just like they smeared the victims of the Hillsborough disaster.
• The official 'investigation' into Christopher's death allowed all the evidence from the police van - including blood samples, CS gas canisters and clothing - to be destroyed.
About this Fundraiser:
We have decided to raise money for Janet and her son and daughter. Janet has solely campaigned tirelessly for justice for Christopher over the past 22 years. She has never wanted anything other than justice, we know money won’t make all those years up of campaigning and missing parts of her children’s life. We think she deserves something, something our corrupt government would rather give four police officers who killed and mocked someone because of the colour of his skin.
We’ve decided to go for £270,000 because that’s just over the amount that was given to those responsible for Christopher’s death, it only seems fair that she gets AT LEAST the same after the constant battling against our corrupt system
I’m in constant contact with Janet now, she has said many times her faith in humanity has been restored with what she’s seeing with the youth making a stand, so thank you to every single person in the world who has made a stand against oppression!
We will still run the campaign for her so it’s one less thing for her to have to manage, every time a withdrawal is made we will be in contact with Janet to ensure she gets it. As much as that is obvious we have to let all of you know on the page according to Go Fund Me.
