Hi, my name is Stephanie. Pictured above is my granddaughter and I am raising funds to help my daughter, Ashley and her husband, Chris with legal fees while they seek justice for their little girl. On the morning of October 12, 2025, Ashley and Chris started to finish up on a home improvement project they had been working on all weekend. They offered to pay a 15 year old neighbor boy to help. He had previously helped them with different types of yard work in the past but today was different. 30 minutes into the job their 5 year old, my granddaughter, said she was going inside to get a drink of water and cool down, because she was helping too. Chris walked next door to grab a tool he needed and Ashley thought the teenage boy had gone with him to help. They didn’t see him follow their young daughter into their home. When Chris came back and asked where he had gone, Ashley went into their home where she found he had taken their daughter into the bathroom, shut the door, turned the light off, and sexually assaulted her. The teenage boy has been arrested and charged with Gross Sexual Imposition, a class 3 felony. While the prosecution is seeking a criminal conviction, Chris and Ashley are now needing civil representation for the Temporary Protection Order to be made permanent and a few other civil issues. The money donated from this will be used for their attorney fees, which they have 4 days to pay, as the hearing is Monday October 27th. Ashley is a stay at home mom to their 4 children, and Chris works from sun up until sun down to provide to them. They have always gone above and beyond to keep their children safe and this has been nothing short of horrific for them. Their daughter has been through a lot in the last week, a forensic sexual assault exam, multiple forensic interviews, and she has remained strong and brave throughout it all. My goal is to help take some financial weight off their shoulders as they demand justice for their daughter and continue to raise their children. Their daughter is a victim, they are her advocates, they all deserve justice. This should never happen to children, it is 100% unacceptable. Thank you.
