Daughter, Aliyah Wilson

My name is Denise McClendon, and I am the heartbroken mother of Aliyah Wilson. On July 19, 2020, my daughter's life was tragically cut short when she was found hanging from her apartment balcony in Houston, Texas. The police hastily declared it a suicide without asking any questions, but the overwhelming evidence suggests otherwise. I am here to seek your help in uncovering the truth and getting justice for Aliyah.

The Inconsistencies

Aliyah was discovered hanging at 4:30 am by a security guard that worked at the apartment complex. The picture the mother obtained from the security guard, Aliyah has a cellphone in her hand. EMS report states Aliyah had signs of rigor mortis. According to the coroner, she had only been hanging 40 minutes, however, several details don't add up:

-Locked Apartment Door: Her apartment door was locked.

-Clean Feet:** Aliyah was reportable barefoot, but her feet were clean, with no dirt or grime.

- Military-Style Knot:** The bed sheet used as ligature was typed in a military -style knot, which Aliyah wouldn't have known how to tie.

- Pre-Cut Bed Sheet:** The sheet was previously cut, yet the police never bothered to look for the missing piece.

Suspicious Circumstances

A security guard found Aliyah's body and took a photo before calling police. When I contacted him two years later, he claimed to have no recollection of finding her body. The police didn't notify me of Aliyah's death until four days later, and I was informed by her abusive ex-girlfriend, Courtney Brown, via a cold text message.

Evidence of Foul Play

I have gathered compelling evidence that suggests my daughter was murdered:

-Strangulation Marks: The ligature mark around her neck is consistent with strangulation, not hanging.

-Missing Items: Her apartment was ransacked, with essential items, including her box spring, clothes, journal, and personal items, missing.

-Incriminating Statements: Courtney Brown has made several statements, including referring to the scene as a crime scene and boosting the police won't touch her.

-Inconsistent Testimonies; Witnesses have testified to the abusive nature of Courtney Brown and have noted Inconsistencies in her statements.

The Police Response

Despite the glaring Inconsistencies and evidence, the Houston Police Department has dismissed my concerns. They have treated me with disdain, ignored my calls, and even accused me of harassment for seeking answers. They have refused to reopen the case or provide a victim's advocate, and have denied me access to body cam footage from the night of Aliyah's death

My Plea for Help
