Hi everyone, My name is Katie O’Neill (Aaliyah) I’m from England. In August 2025, I was dismissed from my job at a nursery because of short TikTok-style videos I shared on my private social media, expressing a pro-Palestinian stance against the ongoing genocide in Gaza. These posts opposed the atrocities taking place, including the killing of thousands of innocent people, many of them children. My position was humanitarian in essence, rooted in the belief that every child, everywhere, deserves safety, peace, and dignity, and that those responsible must be stopped and held accountable.

I am now challenging this dismissal through legal action and need your support. Caring for children is not just a job to me; it is part of who I am. As a nursery worker, my duty has always been to protect, nurture, and advocate for children’s safety. Taking a moral stance against genocide aligns naturally with that duty and with the values of compassion and justice I uphold every day in my work. But speaking up for humanity has cost me my livelihood. Now I am fighting back, not just for myself, and not only for those who stand with Palestine, but for everyone’s right to express their conscience and stand against injustice without fear.
