"We have overlooked one of the most basic necessities, socks. Socks, especially during the fall and winter months, are as important to an individual's daily needs as food," said Mrs. Laurice Reynolds, an iconic Trenton native and owner of Classics Bookstore." "Any groups or individuals who can step up and help us assist in providing socks to our fellow neighbor, we welcome you and are incredibly grateful."
Mrs. Laurice Reynolds and the owner of NKN Creative Solutions,, Nicole K. Nolan, both have a track record of helping marginalized and most vulnerable members of society. Like most people, Nicole's events and small business management business were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. But she believes that every member of society needs to come together and take responsibility in solving problems. What affects one person will affect others, one way or the other because there are no others.
"Much like the 2007 recession, this pandemic has come with a great loss for so many," said Nicole K. Nolan, CEO of Events by Elocin LLC. "We as organizations and individuals have to pull our resources and efforts together to take care of our less fortunate neighbor. Purchasing a pair of socks is the least we can do to show that we care".
Mrs. Laurice and Nicole are two examples of individuals that every community needs to grow. Their selfless service to humanity and desire to help other people have a better life is the reason why they continue to grow in their business and personal life.
These professional and exemplary women seek support from the public, community partners, and business owners to help them provide needed clothing materials for vulnerable people. They're going to need it so much, especially during this pandemic winter period when there is a necessity to conserve heat and stay safe.
