Three Break-Ins, One Break Needed- Help Them Feel Safe Again
Donation protected
My sister, Paisley, and her husband, Emerson, have been hit with one emergency after another — car break-ins, medical bills, unexpected travel for family loss, and more. This morning, someone broke into their car for the third time in 18 months… but this morning, it was worse. The thief found their garage remote and got into their home.
They don’t know what was taken other than all their power tools yet, or how long the person was inside. All they know is the window is shattered (again — another $500 deductible), their sense of security is shaken, and they urgently need to replace the remote and install security cameras in case the person comes back.
All of this is happening right after:
• Securing multiple expensive, last minute flights for the loss of a parent
• Emergency vet bills
• A full car battery replacement because of the Vegas heat
• A long fight with insurance to cover insulin for my sister’s Type 1 diabetes with unexpected costs
• Moving costs when they recently left their last apartment due to safety concerns and car break ins (ironic, isn’t it?)
They’ve been working so hard to become debt free and were so close, but these back-to-back emergencies have drained them. I set this goal at $1,000 — just enough to help them cover the most urgent expenses and catch their breath.
How the funds will be used:
• Pay for the $500 window deductible
• Purchase security cameras
• Fee to replace/program garage remote
• Potentially pay for another deductible if enough if found to have been stolen
• Remaining funds will be put toward the vet bills, insulin costs, or other recent necessities/emergencies
Anything helps. Thank you so much for reading and sharing. ❤️
