Plese help a Passionate Radio Host Keep Going!

Hi everyone,

My name is Garyo and I’m living my dream as a radio host! After years of working as a builder, health challenges forced me to find a new path—one that truly fulfills me. That’s when I discovered radio. It’s my passion, and I love every second of it!

Right now, I’m volunteering at Rossendale Radio and soon starting at Roch Valley Radio, hoping to turn this into a paid career. But at the moment, I don’t get paid for my work, even though I put in everything I have. I believe I’ll get there, but right now, it’s tough making ends meet while providing for my 10-year-old son.

No matter what, I always make sure my son gets everything he needs before I think about myself—he is my absolute first priority. The little money I do have goes toward making sure he’s taken care of. That’s why I’m asking for a bit of help, just to keep me going until I can start earning from my passion.

To make things even harder, for the past four years, I’ve been living with intense, constant pain down the entire right side of my body due to a misdiagnosed condition. It’s been completely debilitating, making physical work impossible and affecting my daily life in ways I never imagined. If it had been diagnosed correctly in the first place, I wouldn’t have had to suffer for so long. But with the NHS being in the state it is, I’ve had to endure this far longer than I should have.

Thankfully, after years of waiting and struggling, my operation is finally looming, and once it’s done, I should be in a much better place physically. That will open up more opportunities for me and hopefully allow me to fully step into a paid role in radio.

I’m not asking for much—just a little help to cover essentials while I keep working toward my dream. Any support, big or small, would mean the world to me. If you can’t donate, even sharing this would help! And as a thank you, I’d love to give shoutouts on my shows to those who support me.
