Mesmo sem nunca ter cometido um crime, ele foi denunciado por alguém que acolheu em um momento de necessidade — um gesto de bondade que acabou custando caro. Por estar em situação migratória irregular, Welington foi detido pelo ICE e agora será forçado a retornar ao Brasil.

É uma despedida dolorosa, mas Welington segue com coragem. Seu coração está voltado para o recomeço. Ele sonha em reconstruir sua vida com dignidade, trabalhando com aquilo que ama: o cuidado com os animais. Seu plano é abrir um serviço de banho e tosa — um negócio que pode ser a chave para um novo começo, seja em um espaço físico ou com um veículo adaptado.

Help Welington Restart His Life with Dignity

After 9 years living in the United States — where he worked tirelessly and was always there to help others — Welington is now facing one of the most difficult moments of his life: deportation.

Even though he never committed any crime, he was reported by someone he had welcomed into his home during a time of need — a gesture of kindness that came at a high cost. Because of his undocumented status, Welington was detained by ICE and is now being forced to return to Brazil.

It’s a painful goodbye, but Welington is facing this challenge with courage. His heart is set on a new beginning. He dreams of rebuilding his life with dignity, doing what he loves most: caring for animals. His goal is to start a pet grooming business — a project that could become the key to a new chapter, whether in a physical space or with a mobile grooming van.

In addition, Welington needs support to cover the cost of his plane ticket to Brazil, his move, and the safe transportation of his loyal companion — his dog Ayra — along with all the necessary travel documentation.
