In July 2022 my dad was hospitalised with an unknown illness. He later received a diagnosis of Myasthenia Gravis (MG). I wish I had known back then how much this condition really affects you. He cannot do the things he used to do. Every day he is in pain, his body completely exhausted by the simplest tasks, like just emptying the dishwasher. Life shouldn't be painful and exhausting and that’s exactly what living with MG is like; every day. A life with MG is debilitating. Myasthenia Gravis is a very rare condition and only 12,000 people in the UK have been diagnosed with this. It is an autoimmune disease which weakens the muscles and limits your ability to complete daily tasks. As it’s a rare disease, it gets very little media coverage or funding. I had never heard of MG before but it's become a huge part of my life now, and one which I believe deserves every penny of what my skydive will raise. I will be jumping 12,000 feet for the 12,000 people in the UK with MG. Please help me in raising the awareness and much-needed funds - every little bit will help towards research and development to hopefully one day find a cure so those suffering with MG can get their lives back; so my dad can get his life back.
