Since August 2024, life has stripped me down to the essentials. I’ve been officially homeless since June 1, 2025—moving between couches, campsites, and occasional motel stays when possible.
Since October 2025, I have thankfully been temporarily housed by a kind person. I’m deeply grateful for their support—because of that stability, I was able to secure my long-term cosmetology career as a licensed cosmetologist, a life-changing milestone that moved me closer to independence and sustainability.
In November 2024, I was late-diagnosed with autism, ADHD, and CPTSD. That moment finally gave language to years of feeling different, overwhelmed, and misunderstood. It helped me see that my creativity, empathy, sensitivity, and resilience aren’t shortcomings—they’re proof of a mind and nervous system that adapted and survived.
Now that I’ve secured stable employment, the final step toward long-term housing and stability is permanent shelter. I’m currently fundraising for move-in costs for an apartment, including my deposit, first month’s rent, and essential move-in needs. This support will help me fully transition out of survival mode and into a safe, stable home where I can maintain my career, rebuild, and create long-term roots.
Stable housing means more than a roof—it means the foundation to continue my mission: creating community spaces for artists, creators, spiritual practitioners, neurodivergent individuals, and unhoused people to connect, collaborate, and feel supported.
Thank you for seeing me, believing in this journey, and helping me take this final step toward lasting stability and independence.
With gratitude,
Julie
