Support Julia's Race for Foster Youth

This May 15th, 2022, I will be racing in an Olympic triathlon to fundraise for foster youth. After having experienced the foster care system myself while in high school, I've been committed to ensuring no child gets left behind or forgotten after aging out of the system.

 

The foster care system can be destructive and traumatic. Nationwide, only about half of foster youth raised in foster care finish high school and less than 3% graduate from a 4-year college. Organizations including Ready to Succeed have made all the difference in my life and continue to change the lives of foster youth today.

 

Ready To Succeed (RTS) is a nonprofit empowering foster youth in college by preparing them for the professional world and building pathways to employment. They do this through a unique, multi-year program that provides students with personalized career advising, access to professional networks and placement in paid internships. Upon completing their program, RTS scholars have the skills, relationships and experiences they need to launch their careers and pursue their dreams.
