Dear Family & Friends,

On Monday, November 16, 2020, I received the news that my dad would soon pass. When I saw him for the last time I vividly remember thinking two things: ”Why is this TV so loud” and “look at those eyebrows”. It was those thoughts that began a year-long collection of memories and comparisons that I know will continue for the rest of my life. I have those eyebrows and I watch TV way too loud. There has yet to be a day that I have not thought about my dad and how alike we were. And, of course, how much I miss him.

On the morning of Tuesday, November 17, 2020, my dad passed away. It remains the saddest and hardest day of my life. While I do prefer to grieve in private, it is important to me that I honor my dad and ensure his memory lives on.

My Dad loved to help people. He helped to care for his best friend’s elderly mother and uncle, even when his own health was declining. He was that guy who would pull over to help jump a stranger’s stalled car. I know my dad would be very honored by and appreciative of your donations because, ultimately, you will be helping the efforts to find a cure for this horrible disease.
