HII GUYS!! as you may know, this year i am a freshman at the university of kentucky, and i am involved in an organization called MEDLIFE. MEDLIFE is an acronym for medicine, education, and development for low-income families everywhere. this organization is a non-profit that partners college chapters to help poverty-stricken indigenous communities in latin america and africa. our overall goal is to improve access to medicine, education, and community development projects. in previous years, this organization has set up mobile clinics throughout costa rica, peru, and guatemala. i will have the amazing opportunity to travel to small villages with the intention of helping the locals. in these communities, we will set up a pharmacy, primary medicine, dental, OB/GYN, triage, and education station. i will be able to assist and observe the local physicians, learn how to diagnose illnesses with limited supplies, and experience a unique set of diseases. this year, our chapter will be traveling to rio bamba, ecuador over winter break to make a huge difference.

soooo with that said, i am fundraising with the goal of covering as much of the trip cost as possible. a large fraction of my trip cost goes towards the supplies, medicine, and native physicians that are essential in running these clinics. therefore, any donated money will not only allow me to serve, but it will give me an immense amount of hands-on experience that is necessary for my pre-med pathway. if you are interested, donations can be received through:
