UPDATE: My sister has found a lawyer she likes. The retainer is $4,000 dollars. The goal has been changed to reflect that.

Hello, my name is Bryan. I created this fundraiser for my sister Cindy and her son Langston.

Last year my sister's husband (and Langston's father) walked out on the family. Everything has been a struggle for them since. My sister also lost her job during the pandemic. This month Langston's father refused to continue paying for daycare, among other things, despite it being in the temporary agreement.

My sister thought she had a good lawyer, but the lawyer suddenly quit family practice last month. The firm told my sister that she "didn't have enough money" for another lawyer at the firm to represent her.

Justice and money shouldn't be linked like that.

Langston is a sweet kid. He recently turned three. He's on the spectrum. He likes building with blocks, math, dancing, helping Mom and finding things.

The money raised here will first and foremost go to paying legal fees. If there is any money beyond legal fees, that will go towards food for Langston or daycare.
