Jude & Cora's 10th Lemonade Stand for Charity!

Can you believe this is the TENTH YEAR of Jude & Cora's Lemonade Stand? It has become one of our most beloved family traditions.

Since 2014, we have raised over $22,000 to benefit Relay for Life of Lee County/American Cancer Society, Highway to Healing, and other health-related causes in our community!

Ready again for some lemonade and cookies/brownies/sweet somethings this year? Ready to TAKE A STAND to help those with health concerns like cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and mental health diagnoses?

THE DETAILS

Please come to our driveway's edge for lemonade and sweet treats on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 3 - 6 p.m. We are located at 148 Brookfield Circle in Sanford, NC 27330.

THE STORY

In 2014, then five-year-old Jude's desire was simple. He wanted to have a lemonade stand to benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in Lee County. His big heart birthed a project that was a success. In person at the driveway's edge and in your living rooms with your laptops, you helped raise more than $1600 that first year to help those impacted by cancer.

Then we opened the lemonade stand again in 2015. Cora demanded equal billing. Little sister power! Since then, the lemonade stand continues to raise between $1500-3000 annually and has grown with donations made to Highway to Healing and other health-related charitable organizations in the community.

THE INSPIRATION

Jude and Cora know the impact of health challenges like cancer already. Their grandfather died of lung cancer at age 46 before they were born. Their grandmother, who died in 2022, was a breast cancer survivor and battled diabetes. They've been awesome nurses to their BRCA 1 positive mom after her surgeries. Jude and Cora know other family members, friends, neighbors, and community members hurt by diseases like cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and mental illness. We're sure you do, too.

The lemonade stand is one way we are moved to act. In this big anniversary year, we hope to provide Helping Hands Clinic a $2,023 donation for their work in 2023 and beyond.
