Ju n Al’s Garden

I’m proposing a community project supported by 2 local businesses on our estate. The The Flying Lady & D&G Groundwork

One of our residents has been ripped off and left completely penniless by a company that promised to landscape their garden.

You may have noticed the house next to the recently renovated playpark, and wondered why it’s taking so long for them to get it finished.

Let me explain….Julie & Al, decided to use the inheritance money she had acquired from her late dad, to knock the garage down and completely landscape the garden, in order to make it a place where they can spend family time, have bbq’s, watch their grandchildren play and even the sunset.

A company came and quoted them within their budget for exactly what they wanted! Perfect!

But it wasn’t! They knocked the garage down, took the fencing and gate off……took almost £12k and never came back.

It’s been over a year now and although they are fighting with trading standards, it’s also a second summer without a garden, not being able to let the dog out, not having the luxury we all have to open your back door and enjoy your garden.

Those cowboys took almost 12 thousand pounds from this couple and have never been seen again!!! Within that time, Al has suffered bad health and spent lots of time in hospital.

This family have endured so much over the last few years and as a community we would like to help them to get the garden they need and deserve.

With the help of the above companies and local help of labour, we are hoping to get this families garden flattened of the mess the company made, fences up and turf laid and to give one of our local families the garden they deserve.

We are looking at dates that we can get a digger and skips etc, if anyone is willing to help and support, please comment…..we need fence panels, fence posts, grass\astroturf and all the help we can get to give this family the garden they deserve.

We live on the best estate in the country. With the best community spirit and morals. I’m so confident we can do this xxx
