Standing with Courtney and Elliot Shannon

On Saturday, May 17, Courtney and Elliot experienced an unimaginable loss with the sudden passing of Joe Shannon — a beloved husband, father, and friend. Joe leaves behind his wife and their 12-year-old son, who are now navigating this devastating time without him.

Joe was a devoted family man, known for his kindness, generosity, and quiet strength. He and his family have given so much to the Abbotsford Falcons Football community over the years—always showing up, always supporting others. Whether on the sidelines, in the stands, or behind the scenes, the Shannons were always there for the team. Now it’s our turn to be there for them.

We’ve started this GoFundMe to help support Courtney and Elliot as they grieve and begin to adjust to life without Joe. Funds raised will go directly toward easing the financial burdens during this difficult period, allowing them the space and time to heal without added stress.
