Community Baby Shower

Although this isn’t about me, I will start by introducing myself. My name is Andrea Anderson, and I am a Buffalo Police Officer as well as a real estate agent with Keller Williams Realty. Within these two roles, I have the luxury of witnessing the love and commitment Buffalonians have for their community, firsthand and how powerful this can be. Our city isn’t just a collection of buildings and streets; it’s a living, breathing entity fueled by the unity, resilience, and determination of its people.

Together, We Thrive: Our community’s strength lies in coming together to uplift one another. Whether it’s digging out after a snowstorm, supporting local businesses on Hertel Avenue, or rallying behind a cause that matters, Buffalonians know the strength that comes from standing shoulder to shoulder. This is what happens when a community believes in its potential and refuses to give up.

This leads me to why this page was developed. I, as all Buffalonians do, know and accept the level of responsibility that comes with being a member of this amazing community. Part of that responsibility is not only recognizing a need within our community but also doing something about it.

Time and again, I find myself receiving urgent calls from community members who are either anticipating the arrival of a new family member or stepping up as temporary or permanent guardians for children. These individuals, driven by love and responsibility, often lack the financial resources needed to adequately prepare for this significant life change. My goal for this event is to create a support network that uplifts and empowers these incredible parents and guardians right here on Buffalo's East Side.

Buffalo's East Side is home to a diverse and vibrant community, but many families here face numerous challenges, from economic hardships to a lack of access to quality healthcare and educational resources. It's our duty as a compassionate community to come together and offer a helping hand during this critical time in their lives.
