Supporting Families, Children & Animals in Crisis | Community Help Fund

Hello and thank you for being here,

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been contacted by several local families and individuals in real crisis. Some are without food, some can’t afford nappies or gas and electric, and some have moved into empty properties with no furniture or basics to get started.

I’ve done my best to help where I can—funding food, supplies, and household items from my own pocket—but our small reserves are running low, and the requests are increasing. This GoFundMe is here to allow others to contribute, if they feel moved to help.

This isn’t part of a big organisation—it’s just me, doing what I can to support people in need in our community. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly to someone in crisis.

• Gas and electric top-ups to keep homes warm and safe

• Basic furniture and household items like mattresses, heaters, cots, and kitchen goods

• Toys and simple summer fun for children during the holidays – paddling pools, balls, colouring sets, outdoor games – so every child has access to something playful and joyful this summer

• Vet care and neutering for rescued cats in need, helping stop the cycle of abandonment

☀️ Summer Should Still Feel Like Summer

With the school holidays approaching, many families simply can’t afford day trips or even small treats for their children. I would love to be able to provide low-cost toys, paddling pools, garden games, and fun little extras that can make a big difference in a child’s summer.

No child should go through the holidays feeling left out while others play. With your help, we can bring a little light and laughter to their days.

Animal Welfare Matters Too

I’m also supporting a kind woman who has taken in multiple stray and abandoned cats. Several urgently need to be neutered and treated—with no financial help available. Part of the fund will go toward vet bills, helping break the cycle of unwanted litters and improving their health and wellbeing.

Many of the people I help have slipped through the cracks of other services. Some are single mums escaping unsafe situations, others are elderly, isolated, or just experiencing unexpected hardship. These aren’t long-term support cases—they’re families and individuals who just need a bit of help to get through a tough patch.
