This fund has been recreated to help with all the costs associated with my mum's care. We really appreciate your time to read about my wonderful mum Xx

On the 22nd December 2023, my wonderful Mum - Shelly Harkness, was diagnosed with a brain tumour. A biopsy at Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham confirmed the doctor’s suspicions of a Chordoma diagnosis. A Chordoma is a rare bone cancer which affects 1 per 1,000,000 people!! She finally underwent 8 hours of surgery at Kings College Hospital in London on the 8th March 2024 which removed 97% of the Chordoma.
It has almost been an entire year since diagnosis, and our family is still facing the struggle daily.
We are in the middle of a difficult battle right now. Mum’s health has deteriorated and unfortunately, there are no immediate plans for treatment, until she is strong enough. We are doing everything we can to help her keep going, reminding her that we are all in this together - this is not the end.
During this challenging time, we truly appreciate any support. Dad is finding it difficult to work while I juggle my final months of my degree, and financially, being by Mum's side is becoming increasingly difficult. Even a small donation would go a long way in helping us stay with her through these tough times. Your generosity would mean so much as we navigate this difficult journey together.
Thank you❤️
