Help the Children of Ghana
Ghana is a country in western Africa, that like the rest of the world, struggles with the problem of inequality in education. Although, the country as a whole struggles with providing adequate education for all students, those in the northern region are at a greater disadvantage. Students in the northern region lack supplies like computers, textbooks, writing books, etc. The lack of these supplies makes it difficult for these students to acquire the knowledge needed to succeed in life. And because of this, I decided to base my project on helping the students of Nbanaayili D/A Junior High (a school located in the Kumbungu District). For my project, I hope to raise $700 to provide these students with computers, a projector, and basic school supplies like books, calculators, writing books, pens/pencils, etc. Providing the school with these supplies would make learning easier for the students, and would also take away some of the cost that comes with sending a child to school. Along, with this, I would create a pen pal system, where the students have a connection to a person who will encourage them with their schooling since some students do not have the motivation to continue their schooling.
I would like to thank thechangemakerproject.org, for making this project possible!
