My name is Joy, and l'm a single mother raising a two-year-old while working full time and completing my bachelor’s in psychology. Like many families, I know what it feels like to stretch every dollar and still worry about whether there will be enough.
Through my own experiences and through the people I see around me every day, I've realized how many individuals and families struggle to meet their most basic needs-things many of us take for granted like soap, toothpaste, clean socks, or a meal.
I created JOY Community Outreach because I believe no one should have to face hardship alone.
JOY stands for Jesus, Others, Yourself—a reminder that when we serve others with compassion, we reflect love and dignity into the world.
This mission started with a simple idea: provide food, clothing, and hygiene essentials to people who need them most. Something as small as a hygiene kit or a bag of groceries can restore a sense of dignity and remind someone that they are seen and cared for.
As a working mom with limited resources, I may not be able to change the entire world —but I can start by helping one person, one family, one act of kindness at a time.
That's where you come in.
Your support helps provide essential supplies to individuals and families facing hardship in our community. Every donation-whether it's a hygiene item, clothing, food, or financial support-directly helps someone who needs it.
Together, we can turn small acts of compassion into real impact.
Thank you for being part of spreading JOY: Jesus, Others, Yourself.
