Help Journi continue her journey of life!

Like many other men that's been dealt a bad hand, I've been very reluctant to share my plight online here; but of course, time is of the essence.

I've been a single father with extremely limited support for a little over a year now due to an active order of protection granted protecting my daughter and myself from her mother for reasons I will not publicize. This isn't what I envisioned for my first beautiful family, but I'll see things through as they are and protect my daughters peace and solidify her future by any means necessary.

My daughter and I have been living with a friend of the family for several months now while we regroup from this traumatizing ordeal. They are relocating to California and we cannot go with them sadly. Since living with them I've repaired my credit and was recently approved for a new 2 bedroom apartment for my daughter and I to have a fresh start. As fate would have it, two weeks ago I was involuntarily laid off from a great tech job due to lack of work. I now fear I will not be able to come up with the security deposit while my unemployment benefits claim is still being processed before the March move-in date.

On top of that, I'm dealing with overwhelming pressure coming from different angles. Litigation fatigue for one; earlier this year the judge court-ordered the mother of my child to pay me monthly child support which they have blatantly refused to do and have devoted their life to making mine a living hell rather than work with me amicably to forge a path forward centered around the betterment of our child. I'm also behind on payments to my attorney that's costing me an arm and a leg--they've now threatened to file a motion to withdraw which could quickly put my rights as a father in jeopardy once again after we've fought so hard to get me to this point where Journi lives with me and only sees the non-custodial parent at a supervised facility for one hour per week.

Between that and paying for her schooling all on my own it goes without saying that my mental health is not the best at the moment. Which reminds me, having lost my health benefits I will not be able to continue weekly sessions with my therapist and there's a chance I will not be able to afford my daughters surgery to remove her enlarged adenoid that's currently scheduled in April or follow-up with her aggressive treatment plan that has her using a nebulizer to alleviate her chronic respiratory issues.

I apologize for oversharing... I say all that to plead for any generosity you all can spare to help me get stabilized and into our new home just long enough to get back on me feet and continue striving to manifest the life my daughter deserves.
