Hello friends, family, and supporters,

My name is Jose Mario, and I am incredibly excited and honored to share that I will be participating in the 2026 Gay Games in Valencia, Spain as an athlete in Gymnastics. More than a competition, this event is a global celebration of inclusion, diversity, and unity through sport. Competing at the Gay Games is a dream come true for me and carries deep personal meaning because it allows me to stand proudly in who I am as an athlete and as someone who advocates for visibility, acceptance, and equality through sport, someone who truly believes in the power of sport to bring people together.

The upcoming Gay Games mark a truly historic moment. For the first time ever, gymnastics will be included as an official sport, opening a groundbreaking new chapter in Gay Games history. I am deeply honored to be among the very first gymnasts to step onto this international competition floor. This moment fills me with gratitude, pride, and joy because it also represents opportunity, progress, and hope for LGBTQ+ athletes who have long dreamed of being seen, represented, and celebrated on a global stage.

I am especially honored to represent my home country, Peru, on this global stage. With gymnastics making its historic debut at the Gay Games, I am humbled to share that I will also be the first Peruvian to compete in gymnastics in Gay Games history. Carrying my country’s flag into this moment in history is an honor beyond words and a powerful reminder that representation truly matters. I am proud to carry the colors of Peru and the stories of my community with love, courage, and hope, knowing that this moment represents so much more than sport.

However, making this dream a reality comes with financial challenges. These costs include:

• Travel transportation and airfare (Return Flight)

• Accommodation and meals during the Games

• Training and equipment expenses

My goal is to raise $3,000 to help cover these essential expenses so I can fully focus on training, competing, and proudly representing Peru.
