Journey to Baby Silverman – IVF Fund
Let me take you back to November 7, 2014, the day that forever changed our lives. I saw Rob’s profile on Match . com and knew there was something special about him BUT I wasn’t in his “age group” seeing as I had just turned 24 so I couldn’t message him. A couple hours later he saw I viewed his profile and he messaged me and well the rest is history. We got engaged less than a year later and a month after being engaged we got married. What can I say, when you know, you know. We also knew we wanted to start a family as soon as possible. We started trying to conceive right after we got married with no luck. I was diagnosed with PCOS and Hashimoto’s Disease, while we were stationed overseas. That being said, getting pregnant naturally isn’t as easy. After many tears and countless negative pregnancy tests, we have decided it is time to get doctors and science on our side.
Sadly the military insurance does not cover any costs of IVF. My work’s insurance covers a slight portion for IVF, but not all of it, therefor we are creating this Go Fund Me. On average IVF can cost from anywhere from $8,000-$15,000 depending on the doctor. Putting ourselves out there to ask for help is never easy and it is slightly scary. However, we feel it will all be worth it once we have a little one in our arms. We are asking if anyone wants to join us in our journey by offering financial support. This definitely is a non-traditional way to show support for us and our journey. We would be forever grateful and would appreciate any help that is given in order to help us make ours dream of starting a family come true.
We are hoping to raise $10,000 to help us reach our goal of becoming parents. Any donations made will be used to help pay for all our appointments, egg retrieval, embryo transfer, and medication.
Feel free to share our story.
Thank you for all of your love and support. Please continue to send your kind thoughts, well wishes, love and tons of encouragement our way.
Love Rob, Jackie and future baby Silverman
