A Journey for Justice
The Journey for Justice is now complete. All those who joined the Journey will have stories to tell to their friends, their communities, their representatives. It is a journey many will need to take if we are to change minds about what the border inflicts on people. It will not be our last Journey. If you joined us, you know who you are. If you did not, think about next time.
Witness at the Border is organizing a “Journey for Justice” – a 2,000-mile border caravan, driving from Brownsville, Texas, to San Ysidro, California – and we invite you to join us and to support this historic effort.
We will set off on our pilgrimage on December 2, 2022 and end on December 18, 2022.
We travel in honor and remembrance of the lives of all migrants and asylum seekers who have suffered and even perished at the US-Mexico border. We travel in the spirit of the holiday season and in the Mexican tradition of pidiendo posada, seeking shelter among strangers. We travel to elevate and celebrate the tireless and incredible work of our borderlands communities of welcome. We travel to raise consciousness about the need for change in our immigration policies.
Help us witness. Help us with the subversive act of seeing.
Contributions will go to the Witness Fund, Inc. and will be used to help defray the expenses of the caravan and other efforts of Witness at the Border. Contributions are not tax-deductible.
