Journals For Juniors

Donation protected
Hello! My name is Jordan Benjamin and I am a Girl Scout and rising senior at Pace Academy. As a Girl Scout, I am aiming to achieve the highest achievement in the Girl Scout Organization, the Gold Award. The Gold Award is a take action project in which each girl focuses on an issue they are passionate about on a local, national, or global scale.

I've researched the toll that staying in hospitals has on teenagers as they have little access to friends, the outdoors, or other useful outlets that help with the release of stress or emotions. My goal is to help teenage hospital patients gain or improve their mental health by educating and providing them with a resource for the release of stress or emotions, during their stay. Journaling is an activity and resource that can allow teenagers to calmly release emotions, stress, fears, or feelings that they are experiencing, in a relaxing way. For my project, I aim to raise $3,000 to donate tote bags to teenage patients at Children's Hospital of Atlanta: Scottish Rite. These tote bags will include a journal, pens, and pencils as resources to help them in their journaling experience. The tote bag will also include a guide to journaling that will help them to be successful and productive.

I would love if you would help me in achieving this goal and would like to thank you in advance!
