Hello, my name is Wassim. I arrived to Ireland with my wife and my daughter Jude from Gaza via medical evacuation in May.

My entire family was devastated.

We were a normal, happy family. Little did we know how much this would change in October 2023. We went from a carefree family to one filled with pain and suffering.

As the head of the family, it is my duty to care for and support my wife and children, but sadly, because of what is happening, this has been taken away from me.

On August 20, 2024, our lives were torn apart. This led to the death of our precious, beautiful son, Mohammed, who was just three years old at the time.

It also severely injured my wife's leg, leaving her unable to walk, and severely damaged my daughter.

We will never stop loving Mohammed in our hearts. My life changed forever that day. The stress we endured should not be seen by anyone.

We are here now, trying to rebuild our lives, and it seems impossible for us. With our memories of life in Gaza, and knowing that our families and friends are still there, we ask for help to rebuild our lives for our only child.
