Josie & Hannah - Missions to Eswatini Care Point

Donation protected
Thank you for visiting! After many missions trips several years ago to serve in Haiti, opportunities were put on hold due to the pandemic, travel restrictions, and unsafe conditions in Haiti. I'm thrilled to announce that I finally have an opportunity to return to the mission field - and this time to Eswatini, South Africa, with my 16-year-old daughter Hannah!! From October 9th to 19th this year, we will be traveling with a team from our church, Saints Church in Queens, NY, to serve at our church's "Eswatini Care Point," and help further the work they began decades ago.

My daughter Hannah and I are excited about the opportunity that lies ahead! This will be her first mission trip as a teenager, and our first together as mother and daughter. As you might imagine, a trip like this requires financial support from a number of people, particularly with both of us going as a family. We would be honored and blessed by your financial support and your prayers, as we answer the Christian call to be a servant to those in need in Eswatini.

Eswatini Care Point through Saints Church is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Christian humanitarian organization, serving the needs of children in Eswatini, SA. Their outreach programs include, but are not limited to:

  • Feeding programs that feed 430 children twice a day, equaling 313,900 meals per year
  • A Pre-School with 37 children
  • Tutoring Programs for children
  • A church for the community to attend service on Sundays

Saints Church (formerly Christ Tabernacle) in Queens, NY, has been meeting the needs of the community for over 30 years through various programs, including one of their largest initiatives and non-profits, "The Legacy Center" established in 1996. The Legacy Center (TLC) began collaborating with community organizations to provide gifts for children whose parents were incarcerated and backpacks to local students whose parents were struggling financially. In 2010, after 13 years of continual service to an underserved community, TLC became a separate 501(c)(3) non-profit and continues its commitment to serving its neighbors and surrounding community through acts of compassion, justice, community service and intentional leadership development.

"For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me...the King will reply, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for Me." (Matthew 25:35-36; 40).

Thank you for your support!

Blessings,
Josie and Hannah Forde
