Joshy's Journey
Donation protected
Joshua, "Joshy," is an Irish twin to Johnny. He is my great-nephew, and we recently discovered that he has a rare disorder called CSWS Epilepsy & Landau-Kleffner Syndrome. This awful syndrome attacks children with typical development and takes away their speech, and gives them seizures.
Joshy was happy. He was healthy. He loved playing in the dirt, water sports, and playing with his dogs while living with his family in a log home in the Montana Rocky Mountains. He had a typical life of a young boy.
He and his parents were looking forward to his Kindergarten year. Preparing to meet the teacher and buying new clothes, school supplies, and one last family activity.
In a matter of weeks, he became a boy with grand seizures, lost his speech, and began self-hate expressions. He used to love life and school. Now he says he wants to die. He is six years old.
His family is selling their farm to be closer to medical facilities and seeking medical care at Stanford University Medical Center in California.
Funds will be used for travel and medical expenses, moving, and lost wages. Donations can also be made to Venmo Brooke VB @irishtwinchaos.
