"Joshua's Backup": Supporting Joshua's Recovery
Donation protected
On January 30th, Joshua decided to come home from college for the weekend to rest and relax with family. Thankfully, he did. Within 24 hours of returning home, he found himself in the ER preparing for surgery due to a tumor located on his vertebrate. He had no idea it was there. The tumor was located in an area that was successfully removed, however, it rendered him unable to walk.
To know Joshua is to know a pure heart and kind spirit. This was to be his first year at college, already hampered by COVID and all that has come along with this. We are so proud of Joshua and his mom for their perseverance, resilience, and unwavering faith. Our hope is to help them as they continue the journey to fully healing.
Kristine and I are Joshua's cousins and care for him deeply. We know and recognize that he has a long road ahead to recovery. He has been in the rehabilitation center since February and arriving home in April. There are many medical and additional expenses that will be incurred in order to provide an accessible and comfortable living space for Joshua as he returns home. One large expense is the purchase of a wheelchair-accessible vehicle among other costs. Our hope is that we can collectively support him.
With gratitude,
Kristine and Angie
