Joshua Patterson's Eagle Scout Project Fundraiser

Hello! My name is Joshua Patterson. I am a 16-year-old Boy Scout from Troop 1537 and a sophomore in high school. I started scouting when I was six years old, and now I am a Life Scout currently working towards my Eagle Scout Rank. The Eagle Scout Rank is the highest rank in scouting, and less than 6% percent achieve this high honor. As a part of the Eagle Scout rank requirements, a scout must complete an Eagle Scout Project, for which I could please use your help.

The Plymouth-Canton Community Schools has a surprising number of impoverished students - roughly 20%. To put that into perspective, one in five students attending PCCS may not be able to afford food, school supplies, and other necessities. I am here to help change that. The goal of my Eagle Project is to donate supplies to Plymouth-Canton Community Schools with the intention to help high schoolers in need. I recognize how fortunate I am to have the supplies and food I need to be successful in school, which is part of my inspiration.

As an aspiring Eagle Scout, my goal is to have a positive impact on my community, and I plan to do this by working to expand upon the P-CCS Pantry Program. The Pantry is a room that is available for students to drop in to pick up supplies such as food and hygiene products if they are needed. I plan to stock it with basic items students need. My goal is to help supply the pantry with food, personal hygiene products, and much needed school supplies.

Overall, I am hoping to be able to create 20 or more backpack kits, which would include standard school supplies a student would need, 20 or more personal hygiene kits to provide students with necessary hygiene supplies to allow students to feel clean while at school, and 20 or more food kits to supply students with nourishment over the weekend.

This can all be achieved with your help, and no matter the contribution amount, your donation will leave a lasting positive impact within the school community. Donations will go towards food kits, school supply kits, personal hygiene kits, storage and organization solutions, and other miscellaneous items that will directly benefit students in need.
