Hello El Paso Family, my name is Joselyn, I’m 17 y/o and this is my story. About 2 months ago my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and ever since she has been in and out the hospital. They were very devastating news for my family but we are staying strong for my mom just like she is staying strong for us. My mom is a single mom of 4, me being the oldest, with that being said… I am asking for some help. My mom had to stop working and I gladly took all the house responsibilities. I go to school, take care of my siblings, work all week afterschool until late at night in order to be able to pay for the house bills, house utilities, my car, provide my mom and siblings with anything they need, etc. Unfortunately I don’t receive any type of help from my stepdad (siblings father). My family helps me in what they can but just like any other family they have their own responsibilities. Unfortunately I am admitting that I am struggling very bad financially… and now I’m here asking for help from the EPTX community. Asking for help is something I never wanted or planned but I know that if roles were switched my mom would’ve done anything for us. I will be selling tres leches cakes! If you can help me out with buying a cake from me, donating, leaving a nice message for my mom, or having my mom in your prayers will be very appreciated.
