Jorgie's 100k for Samaritans
Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of Samaritans and every donation will help.
A bit about me:
I've struggled with my mental health since I was 11 and I've used Samaritans so many times to help me stay safe in crisis. I've decided to "walk" 100k steps in my wheelchair in the first week of November (1st to 7th) to raise funds for this amazing charity.
More information about Samaritans: Samaritans' vision is that fewer people die by suicide. Every 90 minutes, someone in the UK or Ireland dies by suicide, and every six seconds, somebody contacts Samaritans for help. Their number is 116 123 and it's free to use and connects you with someone who can give support with mental health and daily life. Just £5 will help them to answer one phone call, possibly saving someone's life. £12 could help recruit and train a volunteer who will answer around 12 calls for help on each shift. £96 supports 1 volunteer for an entire year. Imagine what impact we can have!
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
