Jordan Mazza Recovery and Rehabilitation

A good long time friend of mine Jordan, was in a very serious car accident early this morning and was airlifted to Hamilton Trauma Centre. UPDATE

Thank you so much to everyone helping, even just your words of support mean the world to the family.

Here's where we are at. Jordan went through 4.5 hours of surgery to repair his right leg and pelvis. He has nuts and bolts and a rod holding his ankle, tibia and femur together. Like a jigsaw puzzle he was put back together. He has 25 stitches in his eyebrow/ forehead area, as his skin detached and needed placed back down. However since his teen years, his nose has been crooked from a couple breaks. It's now straight and he finds it incredibly funny. Has told people he just lost his pick up line.

His neck is fractured and two discs in his spine. We are unsure of what is happening with that. He is in a neck collar and has been laying flat. He has three fractured ribs, a partially deflated lung, both of his lungs are bruised. His oxygen levels are pretty steady between 94-98. His spleen and liver have suffered damage but they are being monitored closely. His hand was being x-rayed to see if it was broken last night, haven't heard yet.

I may have missed something, but right now he's in pretty good spirits, refusing any extra pain meds as he's wanting to get better. He has told his mom, he plans on walking by Friday. We are unsure if he'll be allowed.

Having seen the video of the crash and the shell of the truck. It is nothing short of a miracle, that he is alive.

Once again his family and his mom are so very grateful to everyone for all the love and support we have been shown.

hearts are broken as we are worried sick hoping he can pull through this. He is currently undergoing surgery. Both of his legs are broken, broken pelvis, broken neck, broken hand, broken ribs and has a serious face laceration . He has a year of recovery ahead of him if surgery goes well. He has always been the light of anyone’s day, always laughing, loving, hardworking, and always willing to help anyone he can, he would give anyone the shirt of his back . Anyone would be proud to call him their friend. I am raising money to help his heart broken mom Tabitha with medical bills, future living expenses as he is going to need around the clock care when he is able to come home. Also to help with food and vet bills for his 5 month old puppy that is sitting at home missing her person. This heartbroken family is very deserving of any help that can be given.
