My name is Jordan Hobson. I am a Life Scout in Troop 225 in Gotha, Florida. I am working on my Eagle Scout Project to bring something special to Camp Ithiel, a Christian Camp and Retreat in Gotha, Fl. My goal is to install Buddy Benches--special benches where campers can sit if they are feeling lonely or in need of a friend, encouraging others to come over and talk.

These Buddy Benches will be made entirely from recycling plastic bottle caps, turning what might otherwise end up in a landfill into something meaningful, lasting, and full of kindness.

To make this happen, I am collecting 400 pounds of bottle camps and taking them to a facility in Indiana that transforms the bottle caps into sturdy benches. I need to raise $1700 to cover the cost of the benches, the supplies needed to clean, sort, and bag up the caps, and the travel expenses to take the bottle caps to Green Tree Plastics in Indiana and bring back the two Buddy Benches for Camp Ithiel.

This project is not only about recycling and reusing materials--it is about building community, promoting friendship, and leaving a positive impact at Camp Ithiel for years to come. Every donation helps me take one step closer to completing my Eagle Scout project and providing a welcoming place for campers and Scouts to connect.
