Jon-Michael & Haley's IVF Journey

A note from Jon-Michael & Haley:

Hi everyone!

We have been on our fertility journey for just over a year & a half now— and boy, what a journey it has been! After a miscarriage early last fall, a chemical pregnancy this fall and 3 unsuccessful IUI cycles in between, we have decided that IVF is our next best shot (pun intended).

We have spent the last few months getting all the ducks in a row. If you know anything about the IVF process…that’s A LOT of ducks!

It’s a very humbling experience to ask for support, but this is where we are at in our journey to start

Unfortunately, Georgia is one of the states that does not require insurers to provide fertility coverage. Because of this, our insurance company doesn’t cover anything. The funds we raise will help with the cost of our upcoming IVF cycle, the cost of the injection medications, and the costs associated with traveling to & from our excellent clinic in Jacksonville.

We know that this is a busy time of the year for many, so please do not feel obligated to give!

If financial gifts are not an option, we also appreciate all the good vibes, prayers, & love as we navigate this process together.

This GoFundMe is supporting our Puzzle Fundraiser! Every $10 donation goes towards a puzzle piece with your name on it!

For every $10 donated we will write the donors name on a puzzle piece. There is no minimum or maximum number of puzzle pieces you can fund. For example, a $100 donation would put your name on 10 puzzle pieces. We are hopeful to fill the puzzle we have purchased to the brim with names!

The front of the puzzle says, "You are so loved." This puzzle will be framed and displayed in the future baby Deen's room. One day when they are old enough to understand, we will be able to explain how all of the names written on the puzzle were from people who loved them before they were here with us and helped to get them here.

With a puzzle, all the pieces come together to achieve a goal. For us, this puzzle will symbolize all who came together with us for this journey to support us and our future family. It also is a symbol of how we feel we are missing a piece to our family puzzle and we hope to complete it soon.

Putting ourselves out there during this journey is not something that comes easy for us, but we feel that it is important for many reasons. We of course have a large financial mountain to move in order to begin IVF. We also want to be open and honest so others who are in the same boat battling infertility do not feel so alone. Eventually when we are on the other side of this, we would love to support others in the infertility community financially as we know first hand how tough this can be.

Another way that you can support us during this time is through prayer. We know that we serve a miracle worker and truly believe in the power of prayer. We hope you will join with us as we pray for peace and guidance during this time.
