Jonathan Whiteley’s recovery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Emma and I’m fundraising for my sister in law Hollie, her husband Jonathan and their 3 children.
On Thursday 28th December Jonathan had a seizure and was taken to hospital. He had an MRI which revealed a large brain tumour. Jonathan then had to travel to Hobart (from the NW coast) for several appointments where he was told that they couldn’t remove the whole tumour as it was very close to his speech, memory and right side motor function.
He was then admitted to hospital for surgery on Thursday 25th January where they removed what they could of the tumour but during surgery he had another seizure.
Since the surgery Jonathan has been struggling with his speech, right side movements and keeping foods down. His wife Hollie has had to come back home to go back to work to support their family.
At this stage we are unsure of when Jonathan might be able to return home or be transferred to another hospital closer to home.
Hollie would love to be by his side and not have to stress about the costs of living at this difficult time, as Jonathan won’t be able to return to work for quite some time.
Any donation is very much appreciated for this beautiful family and will go towards supporting them with everyday costs while Jonathan is away from home recovering.
