My name is Jonathan Ashbaugh, I am a Boy Scout with Congers Troop 29. I joined Cub Scouts in 1st grade determined to earn my Eagle rank. I am currently working on, and fundraising for my Eagle project.

For my project, I am restoring the trail at the Historical Society of Rockland County in New City, across from Zukor Park. I chose this project because I love being in the outdoors, and I want to help share that with others. The trail was originally constructed as an Eagle Project in 2012, but since then weather and time have effected the trail's safety and navigability. I will be redefining the path of the trail. With help from troop volunteers, we will clear garbage, debris, and other obstacles from the trail. Once the trail is cleared, we will line the trail with large branches and fallen trees. Lastly, I will be installing informational signs about trees found along the path, with cool information and fun facts.

The goal of this project is to provide a safe place for the educators at the Society to bring visitors into the outdoors, and to help provide the best experience to all who pass through. Any additional funds received will be donated to the Historical Society of Rockland County.
