Jonathan “Jon” Phillip Hardy, 48, of Queen Creek, AZ, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on December 22, 2023.

Jon was born on March 6, 1975 to John and Lona Hardy in Mountain Home, Idaho. He grew up in the State of Washington until his family moved to Mesa, Arizona in 1985. Jon’s childhood was full of mud puddles, BMX bikes, Superman Underoos, and snakes. As he got older, he fell in love with motorcycles and would frequently talk about his dream to own a Ducati. Snakes were still a frequent topic and often caught with his bare hands.

Jon joyfully served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Utah Ogden Mission from 1996-1998. He loved to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and enjoyed serving with his companions. He continued to serve and teach the Gospel as a Ward Mission Leader, Cub Scout Leader, Ward Missionary, and was a Sunday school teacher for 15 years. Jon spoke of his desire to be close to God, and he did his best to be a disciple of Jesus Christ in his daily life.

Jon met his eternal companion, Christina “Tina” Pfeiffer, in June 2000. Tina made the first move after she overheard Jon talking about an archeological dig which peaked her interest. Jon and Tina were married on December 2, 2000. They were sealed in the Mesa, Arizona temple on February 23, 2005, for time and all eternity. Jon and Tina had a love and a friendship most of us dream about. Second to his wife, Jon loved his children more than life itself and considered them his greatest blessing.

Jon is survived by his wife, Christina, and their children: Hendrick Jacob Hardy, Redic Maclamore Hardy (Kimberlin), Abin Thomas Hardy, Ada Thura Hardy, Jens Anders Hardy, Sophia Mae Hardy, Sora Lioma Hardy, and Hyrum Joseph Hardy; his parents, John Lawrence Hardy and Lona Shelley; his siblings, Ann Marie Nicolds (Daniel), Joylyn Beutler (Kerry), Eric Hardy (Krisztina), Charity Fuentes, Christian Hardy, and Miriam Klingler (Chris). Jon leaves behind 20 nieces and nephews, being predeceased by his great niece, Lydia Johnstun.

A viewing will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 2559 East Combs Road, Queen Creek, Arizona 85140.

The family viewing will be held at the same location from 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday, December 30, 2023. The funeral service will immediately follow.
