Join Us to Support Pedro: A Christmas of Change

Dear friends,

I hope this message finds you well. Today, while giving Pedro a ride home, I had a conversation that deeply touched my heart. He shared the daily challenges his family faces: they live in a one-bedroom house with five people. His father is battling bladder cancer, his mother has a broken arm that isn’t healing, his 90-year-old grandmother has serious varicose vein issues, and his older brother spends half his salary on child support for his daughter. Plus, his 18-year-old brother is still studying.

Despite all this, Pedro dedicates himself to training and teaching every day, always by my side, without ever asking for anything in return. For the past two years, I have been helping Pedro because I believe in his dream of becoming a champion, and in some way, helping his family.

As we prepare for his upcoming competition in Lisbon, I’m worried about whether he will be able to enter the UK due to the new immigration laws.

Now, more than ever, I believe it’s time for us to come together to support Pedro’s family. I am planning to send 1,000 reais (around £133) for them to celebrate Christmas as a family, along with financial assistance for food to help them stay afloat while they search for work. I estimate that around 6,000 reais (approximately £6,000 to £7,000) would be needed for six months of support. Additionally, I believe we could make some basic renovations to their home, which I estimate would cost around 30,000 reais (approximately £4,000 to £5,000).

In total, we are looking at approximately **37,000 reais** or around **£10,133 to £12,133** to provide them with the support they need.

We always have the opportunity to change the world, and perhaps it starts with those closest to us. I would love to know if you are willing to join me in this mission.
