Hello, my name is Stephanie.

First, a little back story:

My father Harvey and Kim met when I was 3 years old. They instantly fell in love, and Kim hasn't left our side ever since. She has been my mom for 25 years and has been my dad's best friend since the day they met. She has come into our lives and taken on four children that were not hers and raised us with all the love in her heart. She has stood by my father through thick and thin. She truly is the glue that's held us all together. But unfortunately, we are having to prepare to lose her. It's with a heavy heart that I have to make this GoFundMe, knowing that no amount of money can save her. Hopefully, a little money will help take away some worry.

My mother Kimberly has been unexpectedly diagnosed with an aggressive form of terminal cancer. She's currently fighting for her life and trying to get as much time with us as she can. But unfortunately, there is no cure. Our only option is the highest dose of chemo just to elongate her life as long as we possibly can. My father and Kim have always been extremely hard workers and would give the shirt off their back for anybody. They've helped run the family crab meat business for as long as I can remember, while Kim has also worked in in-home care up until recently. But unfortunately, even with Kim working in in-home care up until she physically could not anymore, and with my dad trying to help the best he can with our family crab business, it is not enough. With travel back and forth, medical bills, and just the household costs (fuel, food, electricity, etc.), they are barely scraping by. Even though my dad won't admit it, if anybody knows my parents, you know that they're not ones to ask for help. So my hope is that I can try to pull some sort of money together to help ease some financial stress so that they can concentrate on spending their last days together without worry. And maybe if there is enough left over, we can relieve the burden of funeral costs for my father after he loses the love of his life.
