Hello, my name is Tokiko Sawada, and I am the owner of Binchoyaki, a Japanese soul food restaurant in the heart of Sacramento. I am also a member of One Kitchen, an organization dedicated to improving school lunch programs across California by strengthening the food system and partnering with local farms and communities.

We are currently gathering items for a goodie bag to be featured at a Celebrity Chef dinner in New York this May, benefiting Wholesome Wave—a national nonprofit that works to increase access to affordable, fresh fruits and vegetables for low-income communities and address nutrition insecurity.

The item we hope to include is a curated spice trio created by local women chefs through All Spicery. Each purchase of this spice pack also supports Les Dames d’Escoffier, a philanthropic organization of women leaders in the food, beverage, and hospitality industries.

Our goal is to collect at least 60 of these spice packs to send to New York and proudly represent Sacramento—the Farm-to-Fork Capital of California.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. We truly appreciate your consideration and hope you’ll join us in supporting this effort.
