Helping a Neighbor in Need – Looking for Donations or Support
Sean and I are starting a very special project for a family in our neighborhood who is going through something incredibly hard, and we’re asking for your help—whether that’s through donations, supplies, or simply prayers.
Their son is currently battling cancer and has recently, and unexpectedly, become paralyzed from the waist down. With his condition rapidly changing, he can no longer access his upstairs bedroom and is now living in the formal dining room downstairs. We’re stepping in to help make their home more accessible for him—and more comfortable.
We’re adding concrete to the front of their house to build ramps, turning the dining room into a functional and cozy bedroom for him, and doing everything we can to make this space his own. He loves the Steelers and his PlayStation 5, so we’re hoping to incorporate some touches that bring him comfort and joy during this incredibly difficult time.
We’re donating our labor for free, but the family is currently covering all the material costs—and we would love to lift some of that burden from their shoulders if possible as we cannot do so ourselves. Any monetary donations, building materials, or even small comforts to brighten his new space would mean the world.
They also need help converting the downstairs bathroom to make it accessible so he can shower and care for himself with dignity. We’re doing everything we can, but we can’t do it alone.
If you feel led to donate anything—money, time, supplies—we’d be beyond grateful. And if you can’t donate, please pray for this family. Pray for strength, healing, and peace. And please pray for us, too, as we try to walk out what we feel God has called us to do.
Thank you so much for reading and for being part of this effort to bless this family in their time of need.
