Join us in helping make this Christmas very special for a struggling family facing extremely difficult times in Oregon.
Our family (Kyla and Todd) has recently been connected with Tawsha and her family through a mutual friend. Connor (14) and Kyle (11) joined us for Thanksgiving while their mom was at work, and Haley (8) comes over for dinner often. They are some of the nicest kids you will ever meet. It would mean the world if we could help this family get back on their feet.
The Backstory
Tawsha and her four beautiful children are currently living in Sweet Home in a SMALL CAMPER and TWO TENTS with NO UTILITIES. Tawsha is a hardworking, single mother who is dedicated to providing for her family, but has recently fallen on hard times. She has a steady job and is ready to move into a small house in town.
Her children are:
Connor- 14 and LOVES football, specifically the Seahawks
Kyle- 11 and LOVES fishing
Haley- 8 years old and loves horses and Bolt (the cartoon dog)
Chelsea- 18 months old and is adored by her mom and siblings
Funding Purpose :
We are raising money to help provide Tawsha and her four children the resources necessary to move into a home with working utilities, including water and heat. The money will help with the deposit, as well as items such as:
-Beds and dressers for all 4 children and mom
-Educational material for the children
-Food
-Toiletries
-Clothing for the family
-Diapers
-Christmas presents
-Cleaning supplies
Fundraising Goal
Our Fund Raising Goal to help meet these needs is $ 5,000 by Christmas Eve (December 24, 2020). We are hoping to go well above in order to help with a few months advanced rent rent and utilities as the family is working to get back on their feet.
Together, we can help this family during their time of much needed help. Thank you for joining us in this effort.
From Olivia: Over Thanksgiving, Connor (14) and Kyle (11) joined us at my in-laws for the day while their mom was at work. I was blown away at how kind, respectful, and gracious they were throughout the day. They played with my 6-month old daughter, Lois, and helped clean the table afterwards without being asked. We all played board games together and they talked about the Seahawks with my father-in-law for quite a while. They have been through a lot, but their kindness is unwavering. It would mean so much if we could come together and help make this the best Christmas ever for them!
